NEW SPONSOR
We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a new sponsorship deal with Academy Sports, as you can see on the home page. We have called this the "Training Sponsorship", because the money provided will boost the funds we make available to our clubs in the form of grants for coach, umpire, scorer, groundsman etc. training. The deal we have signed covers this year and next. You will see promotional material from Academy Sports. In particular note the deal where your club can set up its own on-line "shop" for the sale of clothing with your club logo. A few of our clubs have already taken advantage of this, see for example Corse & Staunton's play-cricket web page.
Collecting balls etc
As already notified, the SGM has been cancelled. Balls, handbooks etc. are to be collected from Hatherley and Reddings Cricket Club (main site) between 7 and 8 pm on Thursday April 15th.
New Playing rules 2010 season
Just to remind you, at the last AGM some new playing rules were introduced:
- All games start at 1:30
- Divisions 1 to 4 use a new ball for each innings. The home team provides both
- Unused overs from 1st innings are no longer added to the 2nd innings
And the ECB guidelines on young players have been changed:
- Bowling limits for young fast bowlers changed (see handbook)
- Those in Under-12 and younger age groups may not play in our league (see handbook)

Westbury-on-Severn pavilion refurbishment
Westbury-on-Severn CC announces that work will commence of 4th May to enlarge and refurbish the changing rooms. They say "While we have been assured by the contractors that disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum, our facilities won’t be up to the normal standards and the boundary will need to be brought in some 6 to 10 feet to allow for security fencing around the construction site. It is anticipated that work should be completed by 14th August".
